OUGD505: Studio Brief 2 - Events Poster: Development / Evaluation

Events Poster: Development

To create further continuity between the campaign graphics and add to a succinct in-store consumer experience I took the illustration used for the stickers and exalted this to create an engaging and bold border design for the events poster, this inverts the consistent style of the campaigns composition placing the illustration on the outside and blank space in the centre, perfect for placing events information.

Inserting the information into the poster created a clean and consistent visual language with the rest of the campaign, using legible black type on clean white stock and extending the friendly campaign typeface into the headers and titles for further continuity. Incorporating the Hashtag #eatlocal will help the events gain expose as well as promote the campaign. This is the only collateral with the address inserted as foodies could come from further afield for these events therefore may not have a detailed knowledge of the farm shop like the community based TA.

The final Poster design creates a consistent visual language with the rest of the campaign. Instantly engaging the audience through the striking patterned boarder that draws the eye into the centre where the events information is placed. This composition inverts the consistent campaign aesthetic to create a sense of contrasting synergy that still easily attributes this piece to the rest of the campaign. The months are clearly dates and events listed with opportunity to find out more information on the provided website, talk about the events on social media (with the use of the hashtag) and allows foodies from further afield to engage with these events through the address, this results in a celebration of local produce and engages the audience to sample produce and use the Hawarden Estate as a social setting for recreation with fun days and BBQ's to allow the community to come together in a setting that celebrates the wealth of local produce.
