Events Poster: Existing Poster Analysis

Visiting the Farm Shop over the easter break I took pictures of the existing in-store graphics, to understand the current visual style. I was unimpressed with the existing events poster in-store as it felt rushed un-engaging when the branding and interior design of the shop was so executed to such as high standard. The Brand logo is far too large and intersects the text in an awkward position, the use of coloured serif type is difficult to read at a distance and doesn't fit the brands existing identity with strong sans-serifs used in the branding and web treatments, to further this the illustration of the cow has no particular relevance to any of the events and doesn't feature on other in-store graphics making it appeal in-consistent and alien when compared to other forms of exiting promotion. This identified a need to re-deisgn the events poster and would provide opportunity to further extent the visual aesthetic of the Eat Local campaign promoting local events hosted by the Hawarden Estate that celebrates local produce therefore perfect for the campaign.
