OUGD504: Brief 2: Logo Starter
Commercial Considerations
Due to the potentially live context of the brief and the regulations regarding branding this meant there were a range of commercial considerations that were associated with the resolution to this brief. Consistency is key with building a brands image and identity using pantone colour schemes and prescribed typefaces and alternates ensured this sense of consistency throughout the identity, more refined commercial considerations such as logo spacing and variations ensured the brand is positioned as an entity and cannot be confused with other elements within the designs. These elements ensure a consistency for the brand that will allow them to build a stronger brand identity with consumers being able to recognise the band.

The existing logo for the brand already featured a similar mendala deisgn the new identity is a contemporary update that will appeal to the target audience while carrying forward and previous brand identity established under the old logo.
A further key commercial consideration is the legibility of the smallprint as the product is within the medical/health industry it is important that it meets the standards of any medical boards that the instructions are clear and legible for consumers to follow. When testing the legibility of the small print it was readable on standard paper however when printing on the spcialist sticker paper to bond it to the bottles the paper properties were different causing the ink to bleed slightly into the paper making it less legible however this would have been resolved if the timescale of the brief was longer.
