Feedback

I was slightly hesitant towards this initial feedback from tutors as this concept is very different to standard denim campaigns. However this was worry for nothing as my tutor really liked the initial impact of this mock up. He giggled and told me how he really liked the concept. He felt playing on the iconography of bums was cheeky and clever as it would grab the attention of an audience with its playful and quirky iconography. 

I brought up my concern that the campaign doesn't actually include product placement to see if he thought this was an issue however he felt this could be developed in later through the use of image galleries etc and didnt necessarily need to be at the forefront of a social media campaign which is more about targeting this new demographic to educate them as the brief states it wants to 'educate' 25-35 year old therefore this is the main objective not trying to directly sell to them. 

He told me to consider how this will be developed across the campaign and to include the educational elements within the brief. We discussed the tone of voice and agreed the demographic are switched on and don't need spoon feeding therefore a more subtle approach to this education would work more effectively. He suggested looking at the american apparel advertising campaigns to see how they use their taboo imagery especially of bums to see if any inspiration could be taken from this.
