OUGD503 - BACIL Poster Campaign: BACIL Research

OUGD503 - Studio Brief 1/ BACIL Poster Campaign

BACIL Research

I found the research of BACIL was difficult due to the small regional scale of their operations meant there wasn't a great deal of information about them online. I found a range of good quality information from their website which gave me a good insight to what they do and their ethos as an organisation which will inform my tone of voice and design decisions throughout my resolution to the brief.

BACIL is a non-profit organisation who work with over 300 members across Leeds City Centre from both the day and night time economy. We work in partnership with Leeds City Council, West Yorkshire Police, Safer Leeds and other bodies across the city to actively reduce crime. By uniting local business through the use of a BACIL radio, members are able to communicate city wide to other businesses and agencies on the network to prevent and reduce criminality and anti-social behaviour on our streets. By working together and sharing information, we help make Leeds a safer city-centre in which to live, work and play.

Ethos:
Reducing crime, disorder and anti-social behaviour is something we all want to see in our community. Accomplishing such aims is no longer the responsibility of just one agency, such as the Police.

Business Against Crime in Leeds (BACIL) is passionate about making Leeds a safe, prosperous city through reducing crime and disorder. We work as a community for the community.
